Miami-Boston University Happy Hour at Jazz in the Garden
Join the alumni of Miami and Boston University for a Happy Hour at Jazz in the Garden at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 9 at National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden.
Enjoy the music of jazz and R&B vocalist Daysahead while catching up with your Miami friends and mingling with Boston University alums. Light snacks will be provided, and drinks are available for purchase at the Pavilion Cafe.
Please look for the group's Miami blankets and signs as we plan to reserve a space for our group under the trees to either the left or the right of the Pavilion Cafe (TBD night of the event).
The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, located at the intersection of 7th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW in Washington D.C., directly across from the National Gallery of Art and the National Archives. There is limited street parking available. The nearest Metro stops are Smithsonian and L'Enfant Plaza on the Orange and Blue Lines and Archives/Navy Memorial on the Yellow and Green Lines.

The event will be jointly hosted by the Ohio, Ohio State and Xavier Chapters.
NCAA style elimination bracket - 64 teams

Ohio Society's 2nd Annual "Back to Your Roots" Summer Picnic
Join us in celebrating the Ohio Society's 100th year with Ohio food (like Skyline Chili and Buckeyes), beverages and games (like cornhole). Enter the raffle for a chance to win Ohio State football tickets and more.

Description: Pitt Club members volunteer on the Third Saturday of every month at So Others Might Eat (SOME).
SOME exists to help the poor and destitute of Washington, providing direct services of which includes approximately 1,200 free meals per week.
Be there between 11:15 and 11:25 AM. We begin serving at 11:30 AM.

Join me to celebrate National Make A Difference To Children Month and help ensure a brighter future for hundreds of local, underserved youth and abandoned children in Africa." Ride to Provide is the first-ever charity bike event hosted by Washinton Redskins, Lorenzo Alexander and Kedric Golston. Lorenzo, Kedric, Redskin teammates and media personalities, will be joining hundreds of children and adults on the W&OD Railroad Regional Park Trail for a 10-35 mile scenic bike ride.

The bike ride is a fun and challenging event that lets both children, parents and the recreational cyclist raise money for Lorenzo's ACES Foundation and hundreds of orphaned babies, poverty-stricken women and children in Africa. There are three different distances to ride: 10 mile ride, 20 mile ride and 35 mile ride.
Meet and mingle with Redskin players and our media personalities, including Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan, during the post-ride celebration where you'll enjoy music, food and chances to win spectacular prizes and autographed items from Redskin players and sponsors.
All Riders will receive a raffle ticket and have the opportunity to purchase more for spectacular prizes including a live sit in with the Sports Junkies, Live Nation Tickets, hotel packages, t-shirts, gift cards, and many more fantastic prizes! There will also be an autograph session with some of the Redskin players!

A visit to the National Portrait Gallery with former Director Marc Pachter '64 !!
Join fellow DC Cal Alums for a special guided tour of the National Portrait Gallery with former Director Marc Pachter '64. Mr. Pachter headed the NPG from 2000 to 2007.
Mr. Pachter's achievements included raising $30 million to ensure that Gilbert Stuart's "Lansdowne" portrait of George Washington remains on permanent display, the creation of the first national portrait competition, the establishment of an awards program to honor service and portrayal of the presidency, and the reinstallation of the NPG through the restoration of its magnificent National Historic Landmark building.

Miami Alumni Vineyard Tour!
Miamians are going wine tasting... cheers to that!
Join Miami alumni on a vineyard tour of Sunset Hills Vineyard in Purcellville, VA and Bluemont Vineyard in Bluemont, VA on Saturday, July 24.
Cost is $50/person, which includes transportation to and from the vineyards, wine tasting at both locations and snacks and beverages on the ride. All guests will be responsible for their own lunch. Both vineyards offer food options, and Sunset Hills allows outside food/packed lunches to be consumed on their premises.
Reston Limousine will be providing the transportation, and there are 30 spots available for the tour, booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick up and drop off location TBD, but will most likely be near the Rosslyn Metro stop.
