Capital Alumni Network – Mark R. Tallarico Scholarship Fund

The Capital Alumni Network awards a scholarship annually to one of the local DC/MD/VA CAN alumni chapters.  As set forth in the CAN Scholarship Fund program policy and procedure, scholarship applications are evaluated based on an alumni chapter’s participation in: Scholastics, Service, Social, and Sport.   A chapter’s involvement in each area is evaluated in terms of its participation in both CAN and non-CAN related activities and events that took place during the calendar year.  The Scholarship Committee also places an emphasis on how these components, as well as any others, helped to facilitate your chapter’s development throughout year.

The Board of Directors encourages all CAN alumni chapters to take advantage of this opportunity to earn scholarship money for your chapter’s local or national scholarship fund or a 501(c)(3) education-related organization of your chapter’s choosing, for those chapters that do not have a scholarship fund.

Scholarship is awarded in the spring of each year. Applications are due in March with award announced in April.  Anyone interested in serving on the scholarship committee, please contact Rebecca Borghi, CAN V-P.
